Renovation & Retrofit — Occupied Buildings Done Right

How we deliver interior upgrades in occupied homes and workplaces — noise control, phased handovers, and design intent that survives site constraints.

Renovation programmes rarely start with an empty floor plate. Families stay in residence; teams keep working through a corporate refresh. The design challenge is not only aesthetic — it is sequencing works so daily life or business continuity is preserved.

Retrofit success is measured in how little the client feels the construction — not how dramatic the before-and-after reveal is.

Phasing before mood boards

We map noise-generating works, dust boundaries, and services shut-down windows before finalising joinery details. That programme often dictates which zones finish first — formal areas clients need for entertaining or client meetings take priority.

Material mock-ups under real light

Occupied buildings have existing lighting and floor-to-ceiling conditions that renderings miss. We mock up key junctions — skirting meets stone, door frames meet wall panels — on site before bulk production.
